Data protection

Dear visitors of our website,

Thank you for your interest in our website. For you to feel safe and comfortable during your visit to our website we would like to inform you about how we handle your data. The following data protection provisions are intended to inform you about how we handle the collection, use and disclosure of personal information. The body responsible for this website is Gut Bertingloh GbR.

The protection of your privacy is very important to us. Therefore, our internet offer has been designed in a way that it can be used anonymously. The information we receive and store during your visit to our websites is used for internal purposes only and to improve the design of the web pages. An exception applies where this is required to ward off attacks that constitute an offence or affect the functionality of our website. For that purpose alone we also record the IP address of your computer, for example, which is stored for seven days within the meaning of section 100(1) Telecommunications Act (TKG) for safety reasons.

Usage data

During your visit to our website, so-called usage data will temporarily be stored on our web server as log file for statistical purposes in order to improve the quality of our web pages. These data include:

  • the name of the file,
  • the date and time of the information retrieval.
  • the amount of data transmitted,
  • the access status (file transmitted, file not found),
  • the description of the type of web browser used,
  • the IP address of the computer making the retrieval shortened by the last three digits.

We use this information to facilitate the access to our website, to control and administer our systems as well as to improve the design of the web pages. The data are stored anonymously in accordance with the German Teleservices Act (TMG). The creation of personal user profiles is thus impossible. No data are collected on individuals or their particular behaviour.

Transfer of data to third parties

Your personal data are not transmitted to third parties.

Cookies

Cookies are small files stored on the hard disk of a user’s computer. They allow for information to be stored for a certain period of time and for the computer of the user to be identified. We use permanent cookies for a better user guidance and individual performance presentation. In addition, we use so-called session cookies, which are deleted automatically when you close your browser. You can set your browser so that it informs you about the placement of cookies. That way, the use of cookies will become transparent for you.

Google Analytics

For the demand-oriented design of our website we create pseudonymous user profiles with the aid of Google Analytics. Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”, i.e. text files that are stored on your computer and allow for an analysis of your using the website. The information about your use of this website generated by the cookie are usually transferred to a Google server in the US and stored there. Since the IP anonymisation is activated on this website, your IP address will first be shortened by Google within the Member States of the European Union or in other Contracting States to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transferred to a Google server in the US and shortened there. Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website for us, to compile reports about website activities and provide us with other services related with the use of this website and the internet.

You may object to the generation of the pseudonymous user profiles at any time. There are several options to do that:

1.) One possibility to object to the web analysis by Google Analytics is to set an opt-out cookie which instructs Google not to store or use your data for web analysis purposes. Please note that in this case the web analysis will only be suspended for as long as the opt-out cookie is stored by the browser. If you wish to set the opt-out cookie now, please click here.

2.) You can also prevent the storage of cookies used for profile generation by a corresponding setting in your browser.

3.) Depending on the type of browser you use you have the option to install a browser plug-in which prevents the tracking. To use this option, please click here to download and install the browser plug-in.

DoubleClick

We also use Google DoubleClick on our website in order to personalise content and adverts, to be able to offer social media functions and analyse the hits on our website. This includes setting cookies.

Facebook

We use the “Facebook Connect” plug-in by Facebook on our website to offer you the possibility to register with our website by means of your Facebook profile. When you access our website, various data are transferred to Facebook we do not have any influence on. The setting of cookies is also required. Further information on Facebook Connect can be gathered from Facebook’s data protection notice.

Google Maps

When you access the Google Maps material, Google Inc. will set permanent “address” cookies. You can set your browser so that it informs you about the placement of cookies. That way, the use of cookies will become transparent for you.

When you access the Google Maps material, information about your usage (in particular the IP address of your computer) can be transmitted to a Google Inc. server in the US and stored there. Our company has no influence on the further processing of data by Google Inc. If you do not consent to the processing of data by Google Inc., please refrain from using the maps or deactivate the JavaScript function in your browser to receive a restricted view only.

Your rights as a user

As a user, you have the right to request information about which of your data are stored with us and what purpose they are used for. In addition, you may have incorrect data corrected or data deleted the storage of which is not permitted or no longer required. If you have any queries, requests or suggestions on the topic of data protection, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
